{ NEW COLLECTIONS } ETUDE HOUSE “Etude x Disney - XOXO Minnie Collection” (Fall 2013)

Today, 15th October, Etude House launched a new collection for this Fall called “Etude x Disney - XOXO Minnie Collection” a collaboration with Disney, featuring Minnie Mouse, which in my opinion is like an addition to their latest one that launched on August, the “& Rose” collection.

I’ll be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with Disney, I love classic Disney, so this collection, in my opinion is great!
I’m glad they decided to go for this, instead of going for the princesses, which I think are overrated, except for Belle, Belle ROCKS!

Hoy, 15 de Octubre, Etude House lanza una nueva colección para este Otoño llamada “Etude x Disney - XOXO Minnie Collection” una colaboración con Disney, con Minnie Mouse como estrella, que en mi opinión es como una adición a su última colección lanzada en Agosto, la “& Rose” collection.


Seré honesta, tengo una relación amor/odio con Disney, me encanta el Disney Clásico, así que para mi esta colección es genial!
Me alegra hayan optado por Minnie, en vez de por las princesas, que en mi opinión está sobrevaloradas, excepto por Belle, Belle es la MEJOR!

Again, Sulli is the spokesperson for this campaign, and while this time she looks decent makeup-wise, her hair is horrible, I don’t know if it’s a wig or what, I don’t care, I’ll always have a problem with her no matter what.
Luckily this time, just like with the “Sweet Recipe” Collection, Krystal is here to help, and she looks dazzling.

Anyway, let’s start with this mini collection! (totally pun-intended~~)
Ohhh, have in mind that being a Special Edition, all the products are probably Limited Edition, too; at least the Any Cushion Case and the Eyeshadows are limited, so...

*EDIT:  I just found out this collection is only available in Korea, meaning it is VERY limited, and I've read of people saying is SOLD OUT in some shops already, so if you want something buy it NOW!

Otra vez, Sulli es la cara de esta campaña, y si bien esta vez se ve decente en lo que a maquillaje respecta, su pelo está horrible, no se si es peluca o qué, no me importa; siempre tendré algún problema con ella.
Afortunadamente esta vez, como con con la colección “Sweet Recipe”, Krystal está aquí para ayudar, y se ve deslumbrante.

En fin, empecemos con la mini colección! (jejeje~~)
Ahhh, tengan en cuenta que al ser una Edición Especial, todos los productos probablemente sean Edición Limitada también; al menos la Any Cushion Case y las Sombras lo son, así que...

Lipsticks in two trendy shades perfect for this season, with a moisturizing effect like applying lip balm.
Even if I love red lipsticks, this shade is not really me, I prefer stronger ones, although I’d just get it for the packaging~~
The pink one, on the other hand, I really like it!

It’s a long-lasting blush thanks to the oil coated powder which adheres to the skin.

Este multi blush con la cara de Minnie tiene tres colores: Melocotón, que da un aspecto juvenil; Rosa, perfecto para unas mejillas adorables & Morado, ideal para cubrir imperfecciones. Juntos crean un atractivo color pastel.
Es de larga duración gracias al polvo cubierto de aceite que se adhiere a la piel.

I believe, but don’t quote me here, that you can fit other brands cushion BB’s in this case or so I read. But like I said, I’m not 100% sure.

{ NEW COLLECTIONS } ETUDE HOUSE “& Rose Collection" (Fall 2013).

Today, 26th August, Etude House launched their new collection for this Fall called “& Rose” and let me assure you, it’s pretty rosy!

I don’t really know which colours and tones are best for what season since I normally use whatever I want whenever I want, but it looks like burgundy, red, and strong pink is the way to go this next season!

Hoy, 26 de Agosto, Etude House lanzó su nueva colección para este Otoño llamada “& Rose” y les aseguro que es muy rosada!

No se mucho que tonos y colores se usan en que temporada porque yo soy de ir muy a mi bola, pero parece que los borgoña, rojo y rosa fuerte son lo que se lleva esta nueva temporada!

If you know me, you’ll know I’m not a fan of Sulli, but she’s been doing well for the past collections, but this, oh my! How to say it gently so fans out there don’t kill me? Let’s say this look doesn’t suit her AT ALL! She looks as if a little girl stole her mother’s make-up.
Not many young korean women look good with this kind of make-up, am I the only one who sees it this way?


Anyway, let’s start with the collection, which in my opinion is lacking of blushes.

Si me conocen, sabrán que no soy fan de Sulli, pero lo ha hecho bien estas últimas colecciones, pero esta, por favor! Cómo decirlo de una manera que los fans no me maten? Digamos que no le pega PARA NADA! Parece como como si una niña pequeña le hubiese robado el maquillaje a su madre.
No a muchas mujeres jóvenes coreanas les queda bien este tipo de maquillaje, soy la única que piensa esto?


Como sea, veamos la colección a la que en mi opinión le falta blushes.

- Etude House “& Rose Flowering Eyes” - 1g. each.

This eyeshadows are really killing me. I’m not the one to go for neutral colours, but the pink ones are super pretty.
I’ve seen swatches on the net and they are super cute, really soft tones but pretty.
This palette is a Limited Edition, so I’ll try to get it!

-Delight.
-Pure.
-Romance.
-Blossom.
-Petal.
-Gloomy.
-Poison.

- Etude House “& Rose Flowering Eyes” - 1g. each.

Estas sombras de verdad me matan. No soy muy de neutrales, pero los rosas son super bonitos.
He visto swatches en la red y son adorables, muy suaves pero preciosos.
Esta paleta es de Edición Limitada, así que intentaré hacerme con ella!

 Los colores son:
-Falling.
-Fade.
-Innocent.
-Delight.
-Pure.
-Romance.
-Blossom.
-Petal.
-Gloomy.
-Poison.

I can’t really say for sure, but for what I’ve seen all the eyeshadows look silky and matte except for the “Pure” which looks shimmery.


- Etude House “& Rose Drawing Show Creamy Pencil” - 1.9g.

 I’ve seen swatches of these pencils and they look super creamy. They come in four colours and I want the four of them since they look quite vibrant!
These are also Limited Edition so be sure to grab them before they go...

 The colours are:
-BE103 Creamy Rose.
-PP501 Dust Purple.
-RD304 After Blossom.
-BR404 Sunset Brown.

No puedo asegurarlo, pero por lo que he visto las sombras son sedosas y matte, exceptuando la “Pure” que se ve con shimmer.



- Etude House “& Rose Drawing Show Creamy Pencil” - 1.9g.

Por los swatches que he visto, son super cremosos. Vienen en cuatro colores y los quiero todos porque se ven muy vibrantes!
También son de Edición Limitada, así que asegúrense de comprarlos antes de que se acaben…


Los colores son:
-BE103 Creamy Rose.
-PP501 Dust Purple.
-RD304 After Blossom.
-BR404 Sunset Brown.

The beige one looks shimmery while the others look matte to me.  


- Etude House “& Rose Rosy Tint Lips” - 7g. 

These lips tints are something new, since while they are the creamy type of lip tints, they come in a squeezable tube with a felt tip, I haven’t seen anything like this before and look great for gradient lips.
They look very intense and seem to be long lasting! And be happy since these are not a Limited Edition!

They come in 5 colours:
No.1 Before Blossom. 
No.2 Sunny Flower. 
No.3 Rose Petal. 
No.4 Sweet poison. 
No.5 Baby Peony. 
No.6 English Garden. 
No.7 Tea Rose. 
No.8 After Blossom.

En mi opinión el beige parece que tuviera shimmer, mientras que los otros parecen matte.  


- Etude House “& Rose Rosy Tint Lips” - 7g. 

Estos tintes labiales son algo nuevo, ya que si bien son del tipo cremoso vienen en un tubito de estos de apretar, pero con punta de fieltro, yo nunca había visto algo así y se ve genial para el look gradient.
Se ven muy intensos y parecen ser de larga duración! estén tranquilos ya que estos no son de Edición Limitada!

Vienen en 5 colores:

Set No.2 - Velvet Rose (2 nail polishes and 1 sticker sheet).

- Etude House “& Rose Flowering Nails” - 7ml. each 

Esto es lo único que no me gustó de la colección.
Son 4 esmaltes de uña y 2 hojas de stickers que vienen en 2 sets y también son de Edición Limitada.

Set No.1 - Watery Rose (2 esmaltes y 1 hoja de stickers).
Set No.2 - Velvet Rose (2 esmaltes y 1 hoja de stickers).

It’s not I don’t like them, it’s just they look kinda generic.

{ REVIEW } Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk JOR201 Bittersweet Oh!Orange.

What it says it is? 
This sheer-colored lipstick gives you irresistible jelly lips with its moist and shimmery finish thanks to its ‘Transparent Powder System’.

Colour: #JOR201 - Bittersweet Oh!Orange (8 shades total) 

Ingredients: Sugar cane, Sugar maple, Orange, Lemon, and Xylitol


Quantity: 3.4g (0.11oz)

Price: 7,09€
(bought it here, but now that Etude House made all ebay shops take down their products, you can buy it here, now).

Directions: 
Recipe for Jelly Lips.
1. Clean lip area.
2. Thoroughly apply moist and shimmery Dear my Jelly Lips-talk, starting from center of lips.
3. Sweet, juicy jelly lips complete!

Caution:
1. Use only as directed.
2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
3. Cease use if problems arise.

Qué dice que es?
Es un labial transparente que deja unos labios jugosos con un acabado brilloso y húmedo gracias al ‘Transparent Powder System’.

Color: #JOR201 - Bittersweet Oh!Orange (en total son 8 tonos) 

Ingredientes: Sugar cane, Sugar maple, Orange, Lemon, and Xylitol

Modo de Uso: 
Receta para labios Jugosos.
1. Limpiar la zona de los labios..
2. Aplicar generosamente el labial, comenzando desde el centro de los labios.
3. Labios dulces y gelatinosos listos!

Precauciones:
1. Usar solo como se indica.
2. Evitar exponerlo a zonas de alta o baja temperatura y áreas con luz solar directa..
3. Dejar de usar en caso de problemas.

Packaging: Starting from the box you just can’t deny it’s cuteness, because let’s face it, who in their right mind would reject anything jelly beans related?
So, the box is pink, full of colourful jelly beans and made of normal cardboard.
The bullet is housed in a pearly white and sturdy plastic case surrounded by little jelly beans in the colour of the lipstick.
Inside the product has a beautiful heart monogram engraved.

Sadly my lipstick is somehow broken, 'cause when I use it falls apart. I don't know if it's a production problem or just mine and I just had bad luck.

Packaging: Comenzando por la caja no se puede negar lo adorable que es, porque en serio, quién en su sano juicio rechazaría cualquier cosa relacionada con jelly beans?
La caja es de cartón rosa y decorada con dibujos de jelly beans.
El labial se encuentra dentro de un envase de color blanco nacarado de plástico duro rodeado de un anillo de jelly beans del color del labial.
Dentro, el producto tiene el clásico monograma de la marca grabado.

Lamentablemente mi labial está roto, porque cada vez que lo uso se desarma. No se si es problema de producción o es que simplemente tuve mala suerte.

Application & Texture: It’s unbelievable smooth, it just slides along the lips really easily and leaves a moist and non-sticky sensation on the lips. It’s actually like a balm, and you really feel how it moisturizes your lips! Really it literally melts on your lips when you apply and really gives that jelly effect they claim it does!
Although I strongly suggest that you don’t use this lipstick if your lips are chapped because even if it’s quite sheer, the colour will be concentrated on the chapped areas and will look weird.
It doesn’t lasts long, and when it wears off I don’t feel any dryness on my lips, as with the others from the “Dear My” collections.

One thing I found out about this lipstick, is that Etude House posted a video on how to wear it as an eyeshadow, which I think it’s pretty awesome and unique! I tried it on my eyes; and I must say I’m really impressed since it looks good and it’s not sticky at all!! Here’s a video of how to use this exact shade on your eyes!

Aplicación y Textura: Es increiblemente suave, se desliza por los labios sin esfuerzo y los deja hidratados y nada pegajosos. Es como un bálsamo labial y se siente como los labios se hidratan. Literalmente se derrite en los labios al aplicar y da ese efecto gelatina que dice tener!
Por otra parte, si tienen labios cortados, les recomiendo que se exfolien e hidraten muy bien antes de aplicar porque deja en evidencia las pielcitas aunque sea transparente y se verá raro y feo.
No dura demasiado puesto, y cuando se va no siento esa sensación de sequedad como con los otros de las colecciones “Dear My”.

También descubrí algo maravilloso sobre este labial! Y es que Etude House tiene un video de como usarlo como sombra de ojos, algo que me parece genial y único! Yo lo probé en mis ojos, y debo decir que quedé encantada ya que luce bien y no es nada pegajoso!! Aquí les dejo el video donde muestra cómo usar este mismo color!

Colour & Perfume: There are 3 oranges in this line, and this one looked to me like the purest orange, but since it’s pretty sheer it just gives an orange-y tone to my lips, but nothing like in the official photos.
Two of the lipsticks in this line are tints, sadly this is not and when it wears off the colour is not there anymore.
About the smell, I must say I love it!! It smells like jelly, and I don’t mean jelly beans, I mean real jelly, the one you actually cook, and although it lasts as long as the lipstick is on your lips, I promise it’s delicious!

Color & Perfume: Hay 3 naranjas en esta colección, y este me pareció el naranja más puro, pero al ser transparente solo deja una tonalidad naranja en los labios, pero nada que ver con las fotos oficiales.
Dos de los labiales de esta colección son tintes, lamentablemente este no es uno de ellos, y cuando se va, se va.
Sobre el olor, debo decir que lo amo! Huele a gelatina, y no me refiero a jelly beans, me refiero a gelatina de verdad, la que hacemos en casa, y aunque dura bastante, les prometo que es delicioso y no molesta!

Personal Impressions: 
I love it even if it’s very sheer, the feeling when it’s on your lips it’s just so comfortable and you feel it moisturizes them. It’s like wearing a gloss without being sticky with the benefits of a balm. I wish I could buy one or two more shades.


PROS:

✔ Application.
✔ Smooth & glossy.

 CONS: 
✖ Wears off quickly.
✖ Pretty sheer.
✖ Animal testing

Would I buy it again?
I definitely would, but in other colours!

Impresiones Personales: 
Me encanta aunque sea transparente, la sensación al llevarlo puesto es tan cómoda y se siente como los hidrata. Es como usar un gloss sin ser pegajoso con los beneficios de un bálsamo labial. Ojalá pudiese comprar uno o dos colores más.

PROS:
✔ Precio.
✔ Packaging.

✔ Suave y jugoso.
✔ Hidratación

CONS:
✖ Se va muy rápido.
✖ Muy transparente.

Volvería a comprarlo?

Etude House has been teasing us with its new spring/summer collection, Color Pop, since May started, and today, 15th May, it finally launched!

Etude House nos ha estado tentando con la nueva colección primavera/verano, Color Pop, desde que entramos en Mayo, y hoy, por fin se ha lanzado al mercado!

It’s a very colourful collection, full of vibrant orange colors and their complementary emerald greens and blues. The collection is actually quite big and has lipsticks, lip-tints, eye pencils and nail polishes.

Es una colección muy colorida, llena de tonos naranja vibrantes y sus esmeraldas y azules complementarios. La colección es bastante grande, con labiales, tintes labiales, lápices de ojos y esmaltes de uñas.

Like I said at the beginning, I really wanted to try the eye pencils but after seeing the swatches I’m confident saying they are not worth it.
 And even if the colours of the nail polishes are all super pretty, I won’t be buying any of them.

The lipsticks and lip tints are a different thing, they are all so pretty that I wish I could buy them all, sadly I don’t have money for any of them, but if I could I would go with the stronger shades, like I said, super pretty!!!

Como dije al principio, tenía muchas gana de probar los lápices de ojos, pero luego de ver los swatches no creo que valgan la pena.
Y aunque los colores de las lacas de uñas son super bonitos, no compraré ninguno.

Los labiales y los tintes son otra cosa, son todos tan bonitos que me gustaría comprarlos todos, lamentablemente no tengo dinero ni para uno solos, pero si pudiera elegiría los colores más oscuros, como dije, super bonitos!!!

Review: ETUDE HOUSE Sweet Recipe Ice-cream Nails: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Today I bring you a short review of the “Etude House Ice-cream Nails #2 Lemon Sherbet”.

There are 4 different colours:

#1 Mintchoco Chip. 

#2 Lemon Sherbet. 

#3 Apricot Candy. 

#4 Strawberry Stars Candy. 

What is it? 
A sheer-colored and sweet like ice-cream nail polish with a soft texture and colourful glitter in a yummy ice-cream cone design.

Colour: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Quantity: 10ml.

Price: 4,21€ (it’s a bit cheaper, now).

Hoy les traigo una pequeña review del esmalte de uñas de “Etude House, Ice-cream Nails #2 Lemon Sherbet”.

Qué es?
Un esmalte de uñas translúcido y dulce como el helado con una textura suave y glitter de colores.

Color: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Cantidad: 10ml.

Precio: 4,21€ (ahora está un poquitín más barato).

Packaging: Just like with the one I reviewed here, I actually bought this nail polish because of the lovely packaging.
 It resembles an ice-cream cone, the cristal bottle being the ice-cream.
The applicator it’s not too long and not too short, and while I prefer wider brushes that cover the whole nail in one stroke, this one is not thin either.

Envase: Al igual que el otro que reseñé aquí, lo compré básicamente por el envase.
Se asemeja a un helado, el frasquito de vidrio sería el helado, y la tapa el cono.
El aplicador ni es muy largo ni muy corto, y mientras que prefiero los pinceles más anchos que cubren la uña de una pasada, tampoco es que este sea finito.

Application & Texture: The application is pretty easy, but unlike the Apricot Candy one, the Lemon Sherbet does leave some traces with the first coat and it’s not as creamy as the other one. This one dries pretty quick too!
The first coat is very sheer, the second one almost covers the white part of the nail, and while I didn’t do a third coat, I bet it would’ve looked completely yellow.
I like the quantity of glitter it leaves behind, but I’m not too fond of the hairy bars from hell, I actually kind of hate them in this nail polish. Many of them won’t lay flat even if I apply 10 coats of topcoat, so I kept peeling them off.

Perfume & Colour: Just like any other nail polish.
The colour is very pretty! It’s a soft pastel yellow with an acid touch if you know what I mean.
And the glitters are: big and little opaque white hexagons, hairy bars and squares; big opaque green hexagons; little metallic purple hexagons; big metallic orange hexagons and big golden hexagons and hairy bars.

Aplicación y Textura: Es muy fácil de aplicar, pero a diferencia del Apricot Candy, el Lemon Sherbet sí deja trazos con la primera capa y no es tan cremoso como el otro. También seca muy rápido!
La primer capa queda muy translúcida, la segunda cubre casi toda la parte blanca de la uña, y a pesar de no haber puesto una tercera capa, con ella se hubiese cubierto del todo.
Me gusta la cantidad de glitter, pero no me encanta los pelillitos esos del demonio, la verdad es que los odio en este esmalte. Muchos de ellos no se quedan pegados del todo a la uña aunque le aplique 10 capas de topcoat, así que me la pasé arrancándolos.

Perfume y Color: Como el de cualquier otra laca de uñas.
El color es muy bonito! Es un amarillo pastel suave con un toque ácido, no se si me entienden.
Y los glitters son: Hexágonos pequeños y grandes, pelillos y cuadrados en blanco opaco; hexágonos grandes en verde opaco; hexágonos pequeños en morado metálico, hexágonos grandes en naranja metálico y hexágonos grandes y pelillos en dorado.

Personal Impressions: I really liked it, except for the damn hairy bars, and I love how fast it dries. Although this one didn’t last intact as much as the Apricot Candy, this one lasts 2 days without top coat and 4 days with top coat.

PROS:
✔ Lovely Packaging.
✔ Good price.
✔ Lasts 4 days w/o chipping.
✔ Great for Jelly Sandwich.

CONS: 
✖ Leaves traces while applying.
✖ The hairy bars are a nightmare.

Would I buy it again? 
I wouldn’t, mostly because of the hairy bars, I hated them!

Impresiones Personales: Me ha gustado mucho salvo por los malditos pelillos, y me encanta lo rápido que se seca. Pero este no dura intacto tanto como el Apricot Candy, este dura 2 días sin top coat y 4 con top coat.

PROS: 
✔ Hermoso envase.
✔ Buen precio.
✔ Dura 4 días sin saltarse.
✔ Genial para Jelly Sandwich.

CONS: 
✖ Deja trazos tras la aplicación.
✖ Los pelillos son una pesadilla.

Lo volvería a comprar?
No, mas que nada por los pelillos, los odio!
