Kate Bush: Running up that Hill

Dreamt about this song, woke up singing it, can't take it out of my head;
it gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it, Kate's voice is amazing.
(and yes, I only like this version, her version, the original)

"You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder.
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts.

Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don't we?
You, it's you and me.
It's you and me won't be unhappy.
"

Callie Vee Collage

Today I finished reading the book "The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate", a book set on 1899, in Fentress, Texas. It's about a 12 years old girl trying to find her place in the world as a scientist, while her mother tries to train her in the cooking, knitting, music and embroidery arts, being the only daughter out of 7 kids.

It's a delightful story very easy to read, with a very inquisitive girl as the heroin, Calpurnia Virginia Tate. She actually remind me of my little boy who collects every little leave, petal or anything he founds around to see with the microscope.

As I read the story I couldn't help but imagine how Callie Vee would look like, so I made a little collage about her, how I pictured her clothes and some important elements of the book.

Mori Girl Hairstyles

If there's something I really love about mori girl fashion, that would be the hairstyles, they look so romantic and whimsical, so simple..; but they are actually quite complicated. It's not that easy to do accomplish something that looks like a lovely deconstructed messy hairstyle.. xDD

Hairdos were never something easy for me, so I'm finding really hard to master this cute chaotic style.

Buys yet to arrive..

I don't know if You'll remember, but last week I went to Blanco Stock to buy a dress that never bought, which I'm glad I didn't, because days later I totally fell for a pair of red platform shoes, and when I say "fell" I mean that I literally dreamt about them!
So after considering buying them for a few days, to see if I fell out of love with them (which didn't happen.. xD) I bought them!

I wanted another pair that I've been lusting over a few years, but the shipping was too expensive and I didn't have the money to pay for it.. DD:
So I just bought the red platform shoes and a beige straw hat, which was about time. I'm sure I won't like how it looks on me when it arrives, but I thought I might give it a try since it wasn't expensive and the shoes already covered the shipping fees.

Everything is form the same shop as the Pink Cowgirl Boots, and it won't arrive until June since I had to make a reservation for the shoes, they are new and they are not in stock yet; but I can't really wait for them to arrive!

Shoes + Red = WIN

Today was my first class of a one month photoshop course, it's actually idiot proof, and it's not like I'm a pro or anything remotely like that, but since it's free and I'm bored I said: "what the heck!" xDD

This is what I wore for my first class, I love how these jeans look with the shoes. Oh, I promise I didn't want to impress the professor with my sexy heels, he's a 70 years old man! Hahahahhahah!!!

Today at BLANCO STOCK

Today I went to buy a dress at BLANCO STOCK, a BLANCO store that sells clothes from the past season for half the price. there were lots of cute dresses, but most of them were strapless, and I'm not really a strapless person.. xDD

I must say that I didn't buy anything, mostly because I didn't have anyone to tell me if I looked good, OK, or just plain bad. Buuuuut, I took photos of the dresses I tried on.
I had to try some lots of times because my hips are wider than I thought (one of the many reasons Lolita clothes look good on me, you don't get to see them hips.. xD)

Forgive the bad photos, but it was very uncomfortable to take them in that hot reduced space.

These are two of my 4 favourites,
but I wish the red one would be longer.

The other two out of my four favourites.
The mother of one of my son's friends owns the one of the left,
and she looks so much better on it than me!
And the purple one is actually the one that suits me the best,
but even though I like it I wouldn't have what to wear it with..

These two, even though they look so much better IRL are discarded.

So, what do you think? Of course I was in hurry taking the photos, and the light isn't the best, because the colours are so much brighter in person.
Tomorrow I'll try to go with my husband and see what he thinks, or not, because he's a living dead in the morning; and I don't know how I'll be tomorrow since I got this seasonal flu that's driving me nuts and my headaches are killing me, not to mention my poor nose..

Movie: The Help

Last year I read a wonderful and delightful book called The Help by Kathryin Stockett, it was there, brand new at the library. What caught my eye were actually the cookies on the cover of the book, because the title in Spanish it's not really appealing "Criadas y Señoras" (Maids & Madams).
I won't review the book, but if you have time, please read it, it's so easy to read and great! I actually read it in 2 days since by the time my PC wasn't working.. xDD

Anyway.., I knew there was a movie on the way about the book, and I can't really wait to watch it. I think it's due in August in USA, but I don't know here in Spain, but of course it will be much later. (Ahh, Spain and your ridiculous waiting time for releasing movies from the US)

Here, watch the trailer, it'll give you a general idea of what's the story about.
