{ NOTW } Valentine Ice-cream Nail Art

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, not because I don't want to, but because my husband doesn't like it, in fact we don't celebrate anything at all, hahaha!
But that doesn't mean I don't like fantasising with red, pink, hearts and all love related things, that's why when I saw this image on Etude House's FB I wanted to recreate it.

 Even though I already did something similar last year, I wanted to make this one more Valentinish.

First I painted al the nails with a cute pastel pink representing a delicious strawberry ice-cream, then I added brown for a chocolate dipped effect, as for the topping, instead of paintig colourful sprinkles, I used the super cute Etude House Pink Prism Nails, #5 Heart to Heart which I love!
And that's it!! Delicious Valentine's Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Ice-Cream nails perfect for this romantic day!

No celebro el Día de San Valentín, no porque no me guste, sino mas bin porque a mi marido no le gusta, de hecho no celebramos nada de nada, jajaja!
Pero eso no significa que no me gusta fantasear con el color rojo, el rosa, los corazones y todo lo relacionado con el amor, por eso cuando vi esta imagen en el FB de Etude House quise recrearla.

A pesar de haber hecho algo parecido el año pasado, quería que este fuera mas orientado a San Valentín.

Primero pinté las uñas de un color rosa pastel representado un delicioso helado de fresa, luego agregué marrón para un efecto fondue de chocolate, y como decoración, en vez de pintarle chispas de colores, usé el divinísimo Etude House Pink Prism Nails, #5 Heart to Heart que tanto me gusta!
Y ya está! Deliciosas uñas de San Valentín de Helado de Fresa Bañado en Chocolate perfectas para este día tan romántico!

{ NOTW } Vintage Flowers Nail Art.

Lately my dresses have become my greatest inspiration to do nail art.
Probably is not news to you that I'm a colour combination freak and I like to everything to be matchy-match, and my nails are not an exception.
And since most of my dresses have awesome and colourful prints I thought it would be great to match them not only in colour, but also in print!

I've been wanting to try this vintage flower nail art for a while now, but always thought it would be hard, but it wasn't... (well, at least not with my right hand, with the left one is a totally different story ¬¬).

I painted the polka-dots nail because I was going to wear these socks (see, a freak!), but changed that in the last minute.

Últimamente mis vestidos se han covertido en mi fuente de inspiración para el nail art.
Lo mas seguro es que sepan que soy una histérica en lo que a combinación de colores respecta, me gusta que todo combine a la perfección, y mis uñas no son la excepción.
Y como la mayoría de mis vestidos tienen colores y estampados alucinantes pensé que sería genial no solo combinar los colores, sino también los estampados!

He querido hacer este nail art de flores vintage desde hace algún tiempo, pero siempre pensé que sería muy dificil, pero no lo fue... (bueno, no con la mano derecha al menos, con la izquierda es oooootro tema ¬¬).

La uña que pinté de lunares fue porque en un principio iba a ponerme estos calcetines (ven, una histérica!), pero luego me arrepentí.

{ NOTW } Margaritas Nailart.

I love flowers, red, purple, pink, yellow, orange, but white ones are my favourite ones, especially Daisies!


At first I only painted them yellow, but I was bored and a lovely dress I have inspired me to paint little daisies on my nails.
I know the flowers over the yellow nail polish don't stand that much, but I think they came out pretty good considering is the first time I paint flowers on my nails.

Me encantan las flores, rojas, violetas, rosas, amarillas, naranjas, pero las blancas son mis favoritas, en especial las Margaritas!

Al principio solo las había pintado de amarillo, pero estaba aburrida y un vestido adorable que tengo me inspiraron para pintar pequeñas margaritas en mis uñas.
Sé que las flores no destacan demasiado sobre el fondo amarillo, pero creo que quedaron bastante bien considerando que es la primera vez que me hago flores en las uñas.

I know that with a blue background they would've looked so much better; but other than that...

Review: ETUDE HOUSE Sweet Recipe Ice-cream Nails: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Today I bring you a short review of the “Etude House Ice-cream Nails #2 Lemon Sherbet”.

There are 4 different colours:

#1 Mintchoco Chip. 

#2 Lemon Sherbet. 

#3 Apricot Candy. 

#4 Strawberry Stars Candy. 

What is it? 
A sheer-colored and sweet like ice-cream nail polish with a soft texture and colourful glitter in a yummy ice-cream cone design.

Colour: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Quantity: 10ml.

Price: 4,21€ (it’s a bit cheaper, now).

Un esmalte de uñas translúcido y dulce como el helado con una textura suave y glitter de colores.

Color: #2 Lemon Sherbet.

Cantidad: 10ml.

Precio: 4,21€ (ahora está un poquitín más barato).

Packaging: Just like with the one I reviewed here, I actually bought this nail polish because of the lovely packaging.
 It resembles an ice-cream cone, the cristal bottle being the ice-cream.
The applicator it’s not too long and not too short, and while I prefer wider brushes that cover the whole nail in one stroke, this one is not thin either.

Envase: Al igual que el otro que reseñé aquí, lo compré básicamente por el envase.
Se asemeja a un helado, el frasquito de vidrio sería el helado, y la tapa el cono.
El aplicador ni es muy largo ni muy corto, y mientras que prefiero los pinceles más anchos que cubren la uña de una pasada, tampoco es que este sea finito.

Application & Texture: The application is pretty easy, but unlike the Apricot Candy one, the Lemon Sherbet does leave some traces with the first coat and it’s not as creamy as the other one. This one dries pretty quick too!
The first coat is very sheer, the second one almost covers the white part of the nail, and while I didn’t do a third coat, I bet it would’ve looked completely yellow.
I like the quantity of glitter it leaves behind, but I’m not too fond of the hairy bars from hell, I actually kind of hate them in this nail polish. Many of them won’t lay flat even if I apply 10 coats of topcoat, so I kept peeling them off.

Perfume & Colour: Just like any other nail polish.
The colour is very pretty! It’s a soft pastel yellow with an acid touch if you know what I mean.
And the glitters are: big and little opaque white hexagons, hairy bars and squares; big opaque green hexagons; little metallic purple hexagons; big metallic orange hexagons and big golden hexagons and hairy bars.

Aplicación y Textura: Es muy fácil de aplicar, pero a diferencia del Apricot Candy, el Lemon Sherbet sí deja trazos con la primera capa y no es tan cremoso como el otro. También seca muy rápido!
La primer capa queda muy translúcida, la segunda cubre casi toda la parte blanca de la uña, y a pesar de no haber puesto una tercera capa, con ella se hubiese cubierto del todo.
Me gusta la cantidad de glitter, pero no me encanta los pelillitos esos del demonio, la verdad es que los odio en este esmalte. Muchos de ellos no se quedan pegados del todo a la uña aunque le aplique 10 capas de topcoat, así que me la pasé arrancándolos.

Perfume y Color: Como el de cualquier otra laca de uñas.
El color es muy bonito! Es un amarillo pastel suave con un toque ácido, no se si me entienden.
Y los glitters son: Hexágonos pequeños y grandes, pelillos y cuadrados en blanco opaco; hexágonos grandes en verde opaco; hexágonos pequeños en morado metálico, hexágonos grandes en naranja metálico y hexágonos grandes y pelillos en dorado.

Personal Impressions: I really liked it, except for the damn hairy bars, and I love how fast it dries. Although this one didn’t last intact as much as the Apricot Candy, this one lasts 2 days without top coat and 4 days with top coat.

PROS:
✔ Lovely Packaging.
✔ Good price.
✔ Lasts 4 days w/o chipping.
✔ Great for Jelly Sandwich.

CONS: 
✖ Leaves traces while applying.
✖ The hairy bars are a nightmare.

Would I buy it again? 
I wouldn’t, mostly because of the hairy bars, I hated them!

Impresiones Personales: Me ha gustado mucho salvo por los malditos pelillos, y me encanta lo rápido que se seca. Pero este no dura intacto tanto como el Apricot Candy, este dura 2 días sin top coat y 4 con top coat.

PROS: 
✔ Hermoso envase.
✔ Buen precio.
✔ Dura 4 días sin saltarse.
✔ Genial para Jelly Sandwich.

CONS: 
✖ Deja trazos tras la aplicación.
✖ Los pelillos son una pesadilla.

Lo volvería a comprar?
No, mas que nada por los pelillos, los odio!

A transparent pink-coloured nail polish with pink, white and red glitter in many different shapes.

Un esmalte de uñas rosa transparente con glitter rosa, blanco y rojo con varias formas.

Packaging: It’s a simple round crystal bottle with a white lid with little pink little hearts.
I really like the applicator since it’s not too long and not too short, and while I prefer wider brushes that cover the whole nail in one stroke, this one is not thin either.

Envase: Es de cristal y redondo con la tapa blanca llena de corazones rosa pequeñitos.
El aplicador me gusta mucho ya que ni es muy largo ni muy corto, y mientras que prefiero los pinceles más anchos que cubren la uña de una pasada, tampoco es que este sea finito.

Application & Texture: The application is pretty easy since it’s transparent, so there’s really no chance to mess up, but I had such a hard time trying to pick the heart glitters and casually put them on the nails since I don’t really like too much glitter in one nail.
 I was really impressed at how fast it dries, really, faster than the Ice-cream nails I reviewed the other day here.
The final result is a little weird since the hearts don’t lay flat on the nail, so I recommend applying top coat two times so they won’t get caught up on your hair or clothes/sheets/towels/etc.

Perfume & Colour: It smells just like any other nail polish.
The colour is pink and transparent, so it gives a really subtle pink colour to the nail if you’re not wearing any coloured base.
There are pink dots, hearts and hexagons, which are opaque; white hearts, dots and hairy bars, also opaque; and red hearts which are the only metallic.

Aplicación y Textura: Es muy fácil de aplicar ya que es transparente, así que no hay chance de arruinar la manicura, pero me costó un poco que el pincelito agarrara corazones y que quedaran bien ubicados ya que no me gusta mucho glitter en las uñas.
Quedé impresionada con la rapidez con la que se secó, incluso más rápido que los Ice-cream nail que enseñé el otro día aquí.
El resultado es un poco rugoso ya que los corazones no quedan chatos, por eso recomiendo aplicar dos capas de top coat así no se engancharán en el pelo o ropa/sábanas/toallas/etc.

Perfume y Color: Huele como cualquier otra laca de uñas.
El color es rosa transparente, dando una tonalidad rosada muy sutil a la uña en caso de no usar base de color.
Tiene pequeños puntos, corazones y hexágonos rosa opaco; puntos, pelillos y corazones blanco opaco; y corazones rojos metálicos.

Personal Impressions: I love it! Really, I can’t stop looking at my nails.
I also like how the glitter is distributed and not cluttering all your nails even if it’s kind of hard to casually place the hearts so they don’t look weird, but I don’t mind at all!


PROS:
✔ Heart Glitter ❤
✔ Easy application.
✔ Good price.
✔ Lasts 5 days when applying top coat every two days
✔ Great for Jelly Sandwich.

CONS:
✖ Only 7ml.

Would I buy it again?
I definitely would!

Impresiones Personales: Me encanta! En serio, no puedo dejar de mirarme las uñas.
También me gusta como el glitter queda distribuido y no colapsa las uñas aunque hacer que los corazones queden bien, como quien no quiere la cosa, y no se vean extraños sea difícil, pero no me importa!

Envase: Siendo sincera, lo compré básicamente por el envase, y es que es tan lindo!!! Se asemeja a un helado, el frasquito de vidrio sería el helado, y la tapa el cono; y como dijo mi marido, no puedo creer que no se les hubiese ocurrido antes!
El aplicador me gusta mucho ya que no es muy largo ni muy corto, y mientras que prefiero los pinceles más anchos que cubren la uña de una pasada, tampoco es que este sea finito.

Application & Texture: The application is pretty easy, it’s quite glossy and doesn’t leave traces.
What I really like about it, is that it dries pretty quick considering I put 3 coats of it.

Perfume & Colour: I’m not usually bothered by how nail polishes smells, and this is just like any other nail polish.
The colour is just SO pretty! I’m really glad I decided to pick it up. It a very soft pastel orange, and the glitters come in green, purple, lavender, orange, pastel & hot pink, yellow and white.
And while it’s very sheer and I had to paint 3 coats, and still couldn’t cover the white part of my nail, the colour pay-off is super pretty and not too covered in glitters, which I really appreciate!

Aplicación y Textura: Es muy fácil de aplicar, es bastante lustroso y no deja trazos.
Algo que me gusta mucho es que seca bastante rápido teniendo en cuenta que me puse 3 capas.

Perfume y Color: No suelen molestarme los olores de los esmaltes, y este es como el de cualquier otra laca de uñas.
El color es TAN bonito! Me alegro de haberlo elegido. Es un naranja pastel muy suave, y los glitters vienen en verde, morado, lavanda, naranja, rosa claro y fuerte, amarillo y blanco.
Y mientras que es bastante translúcido y tuve que cubrir con 3 capas y así todo se ve la parte blanca de la uña, el color final es super lindo y no está tan lleno de glitter, algo que aprecio mucho!

Personal Impressions: I really liked it and I’m really impressed at how fast it dries and how much it lasts without peeling off, I mean, 5 days with the nail polish intact, for a housewife, is practically impossible! Especially when you put so many coats on (1 of base, 3 of the nail polish itself and 1 top coat).
I also like how the glitter is distributed and not cluttering all your nails even if I applied 3 coats.

PROS:
✔ Lovely Packaging.
✔ Easy application.
✔ Good price.
✔ Lasts 5 days w/o chipping.
✔ Great for Jelly Sandwich.

CONS:
✖ Very sheer.

Would I buy it again? I would say yes because I love it, but then again, I don’t tend to get attached to any nail polish as to repeat with it.

Impresiones Personales: Me ha gustado muchísimo y me ha sorprendido lo rápido que se seca y lo muchos que dura sin saltarse, a ver, 5 días con el esmalte intacto, para una ama de casa, es prácticamente imposible! Especialmente cuando se ponen tantas capas (1 de base, 3 del esmalte y 1 de top coat).
También me gusta como el glitter queda distribuido y no colapsa las uñas aunque haya aplicado 3 capas.

PROS:
