I was going to rant about clothes and looks in this post, but since I'm not in ten mood, I'll leave that for another day.
I wore this last Sunday to go for a walk to the woods with my family, I wanted to pick some pine cones to decorate the house for Christmas, something I haven't done yet; I don't know if out of laziness or I just don't feel it this year.

These last days have been a disaster, I'm really, really sad. Last Thursday my husband brought home a puppy that a former employee gave to him since she knew how much he loved the Basset Hound breed. The woman wasn't the breeder, someone gave it to her and then us. The puppy is supposed to be pure breed but is not registered, which is weird (I don't really care about breeds, really, I like mutts better), and it supposedly have all the vaccines and everything else. But when she arrived (the puppy is girl) she was in her bones and looked so tired. Then next day we took her to the vet, just to find out she has parvovirus, which is terrible for puppies since it's a deadly disease.
It's been two days since she's been admitted, and while she's stable and there are no signs of her worsening, the doctors won't say anything to get our hopes high.

Now I'm not only sacred for her, but also for my two dogs, even if they are vaccinated.
I must admit that at first I felt so guilty of getting a puppy with a breed, when there are so many abandoned dogs that need to be adopted (my other two dogs were abandoned and we adopted them). But now, knowing she's ill, if we didn't accepted her and given a chance to live, she'll be probably dead by now.

Last Saturday was my son's 12th birthday; I can't believe it, he's grown so much this past year, both in body and mind, and I can't help feeling sad and happy at the same time; also tired, I think the worst part of being a mother is raising a teenager. I know I'm just starting, but I can't wait for these long years to go away as soon as possible.
Anyway, we didn't do anything fancy since his b-day always is a holiday and there isn't much to do or go to, so we just stayed at home and did nothing.
At night we played "Risk", it was my first time and all I'm going to say is that it didn't end well at all!
We also cooked a last minute cake which didn't came out the way we wanted but incredibly delicious with brownies, dulce de leche and Guinness.

And I think to myself, what a wonderful world...

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colours of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Anita & Nelly are my grannys, they are twins and the most wonderful women I ever met in my whole life; and today is their birthday, so I gathered a few photos and made this collage as my gift to them. Such beautiful souls! <3
Anita passed 17 years ago, but there is not even one day I don't think of her and miss her, she was my second mother and I love her so much!
And it's been a few years since I last saw Nelly, and I miss her, too and love hearing the things my mum tells me about her, she's so funny!

I wish you both a Happy Birthday!

Today we woke up really late due to last night's party, hahaha, no, just kidding, we didn't have a party just a nice dinner with a friend and his mother; and unlike Christmas day I didn't want to spend the whole day in the sofa; so we went out for a picnic. It wasn't too cold and he sun was delicious!
We ate sandwiches and what was left of last night panettone, then we enjoyed of a nice walk through the woods.
Later we went back home, lounged around and took a siesta in the sofa, so warm after the walk!

Dublin on Thursday, November 17th 2011

Thursday was the last full day we were spending in Dublin, so yes, I'm finishing these entries soon. Also, my flickr PRO account is expiring in a few days, so I want to upload as many photos as I can before that day, since I don't know when I'll go PRO again.

That day, after having breakfast, we went to buy a pair of comfy boots for me since my feet were dying from the day before, I bought some lovely boots at Primark, I should've bought 20 pairs since I love them but they aren't great quality, so I'm afraid they won't last long D:
Later we headed to The Old Jameson Distillery; yeah, I know what you're thinking right now "what an alcoholic trip!!!", but to be honest, there was nothing else to do, especially with the rain. Plus me not liking beer doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good whisky with cranberry juice! ;D

After learning how to make Irish whisky, we went to Dublin Castle, a very beautiful place, and I actually learnt a lot about how Ireland became a Republic and some funny stories from the past, like for example, that Bram Stoker used to work there as a tax collector before writing Dracula.
Later we walked a lot around the city and did a little more shopping before having dinner.
