I've been holding myself to make this post, I took these photos more than a month ago and I wanted to also write a few thoughts of mine, and this is exactly what delayed me from posting the photo-set, because I'm not too sure how to convey these thoughts of mine, so I'll leave them for another day.

I bought this skirt in Tokyo back in 2010, and while it was always a dream skirt of mine, I never got to wear it, mostly because I didn't have the clothes I wanted to wear it with.
But since I had this skirt for sale for a while, and I didn't wanted to sell it without having worn it, I turned my perspective completely around, and went for something totally different. Something that appeared in my mind like something a girl wanting to be a "Magical Girl" would wear (yeah, don't mind me, I'm crazy).

So, yeah! This is not strictly Lolita Fashion, but it's not to far from it either. So, let's leave to "Magical Girl Wannabe Fashion" xD.

*the skirt was sold a few weeks later, so it's no longer with me. it felt so bad parting with it, but i hope her new owner loves it how it deserves!

Me he estado conteniendo un poco de escribir este post, estas fotos fueron hechas hace mas de un mes y quería acompañarlas de algunos pensamientos personales, y esta es la razón por la que me he retrasado y nunca había posteado las fotos, porque no estoy muy segura de como transmitir estos pensamientos, así que eso lo dejaré para otro día.

Compré esta falda en Tokyo en el 2010, y mientras que siempre fue una "dream skirt" para mi, nunca la usé, básicamente porque no tenía la ropa que quería usar con ella.
Pero como la había puesto en venta hacía ya un tiempo, y no quería venderla sin haberla usado, cambié mi perspectiva completamente, y me decidí por algo totalmente distinto. Algo que se me vino la cabeza como algo que llevaría una niña que quiere ser una "Magical Girl" (si, no me hagan caso, estoy loca).

Así que nada! No es estrictamente Moda Lolita, pero tampoco está muy alejado. Dejémoslo en "Magical Girl Wannabe Fashion" xD.

*la falda se vendió semanas después, así que ya no está conmigo. me sentí tan mal dejándola ir, pero espero que su nueva dueña le de el amor que necesita!

This year that's ending didn't start bad and I gave my all, but then it started going downwards till it's six feet under.

I couldn't fulfil the two only resolutions I aimed for, so this year I won't have any resolutions at all, because it's a total disappointment when you don't fulfil them.

2013, 13, my second favourite number, sounds good, right? 2013, I like odd numbers, what will it bring? I guess more troubles and frustrations (but we all have them, right?), so I hope this new year is a bit nicer to me than 2012 was (I'm sure that was because I couldn't eat the grapes, which were actually HUGE gummy balls because I didn't have olives).

So, I want to wish all of you a wonderful start this year of the serpent, which I hope comes with lots of changes, even if they are not all good (daily routine kills), I wish you happiness y lot of success (to some more than others, because it seems that it is always the same people that have it awesome every year, share a little with us that have it bad, che! xD).

So that's it, happy 2013 (when it starts of course, because at 12 o'clock I'll be eating the olives, or lacasitos depending on what I'm craving at that moment) ♥

And yes!, I cute my fringe again, how do you like it?

Este año que termina, si bien no empezó mal y le puse energía, fue decayendo hasta quedar bajo tierra.
No cumplí los dos únicos propósitos que me me plantee, así que este año no me voy a plantear nada, que luego es una decepción.
2013, 13, mi segundo número favorito, suena bien verdad? 2013, me gustan los números impares, que me deparará? Supongo que mas disgustos y decepciones (pero eso lo tenemos todos en cierta medida), así que espero que este año se porte un poquito mejor conmigo, que no sea malo como el 2012 (seguro que fue porque no comí las uvas, que en realidad eran de gominolas y ENORMES porque no tenía aceitunas).

Así que les quiero desear a todos un genial comienzo de año, este año de la serpiente que espero se presente lleno de cambios, aunque no sean todos buenos (y es que la rutina mata), les deseo mucha felicidad y éxitos (a algunos mas que a otros, que parece que son siempre los mismos a los que todos los años les va bien, a ver si reparten y dejan de acaparar, che! xD).

Así que nada, feliz 2013 (cuando empiece, claro, pero es que cuando sean las 12 estaré comiendo las aceitunas, o lacasitos, depende de si quiero dulce o salado en ese momento) ♥

Yesterday was the International Lolita Day, a day when Lolitas celebrate their Loliness, xDDD No, not really, but since there are days for everything, Lolitas had to have their own day, and there is not just one, there are two. One the first Saturday of June, and the other the first Saturday of December, to accommodate to both hemispheres.

What do you do on that day? Nothing specific, you just meet with fellow lolitas or you just go all Momoko Ryugasaki mode (just like me) and take photos, then go back to your home.

Yesterday was actually the first day I ever lolied-up for this date, and to be honest, I realised how much I missed my frills, I guess the last time I dolled up was last year in Dublin.

This dress is one of my favourites top 3, and is so much fun to wear, I can think lots of looks with it, and I wanted to try brown this time (last time I wore it with blue, here), next in line will be green!

Ayer fue el Día Internacional Lolita, un día en que las lolitas celebran su loliticidad, xDDD No, en realidad no, pero como hay días para todo, las lolitas también tenían que tener su día, y no solo uno, sino que hay 2. Uno el primer sábado de Junio, y el otro el primer sábado de Diciembre, para que las del hemisferio sur no se quejen del frío y viceversa.

Qué se hace en ese día? Nada específico, solo te juntas con otras lolitas o te conviertes en Momoko Ryugasaki (como en mi caso) y te tomas fotos, luego te volvés a casita.

Ayer fue el primer día que me visto lolita para este día en concreto, y para ser sincera, me di cuenta cunato extrañaba mis "frills", creo que la última vez que me puse así mona fue el año pasado en Dublín.

Este vestido es uno de mis top 3 favoritos, y es tan divertido de llevar, se me ocurren un monton de combinaciones con él, y esta vez quería probar con marrón (la última vez lo usé con azul, aquí), el próximo será verde!

{ LOOKBOOK } Buenos Aires Botanical Gardens

Recently I gained access to my old computer where I had tons of photos I didn't remember I had, and these were some of them.

They were taken back in July 2009 at Buenos Aires Botanical Gardens, when I went to Argentina to visit my family, by María Celeste, a lolita friend (at least she was by the time :P). Anyway..., I was so happy to be able to do it since I never had photos taken the way I wanted. It wasn't planned, it was kind of impromptu which made it even more special.

I hope you like them as much as I do even if they are 3 years and a half old. 

And I know they are too little for what you're used to see here, but this is the only size I have with the watermark, but I promised her never to post the ones without the watermark anywhere.

Hace poquito pude recuperar unas fotos de mi viejo ordenador que ya ni recordaba que tenía, estas entre ellas.

Fueron tomadas por María Celeste, una amiga lolita (que al menos lo era en aquella época :P), cuando estuve en Argentina en Julio de 2009 en el Jardín Botánico de Buenos Aires. Me alegro mucho de haber podido hacer la sesión ya que nunca me habían hecho el tipo de fotos que a mi me gusta. No fue planeada, lo que en mi opinión la hace incluso mas especial.

Espero que les gusten tanto como a mi auqnue ya tengan mas de 3 años.

Y se que son pequeñas para el tamaño de fotos que suelo subir al blog, pero son el único tamaño que tengo con la marca de agua, y le prometía que jamás postearía las que no la tienen.

Today the day was so sunny and the light of the sun called me to go out and enjoy, and since we still have two days of vacation, we wanted to make the most of it; so my son and I went for a walk in the forest. It was cold, but the sun was really warm so we could brave the cold breeze.
When we arrived home I started feeling under the weather, my eyes were crying (and still are) because of the wind, and I feel as if had run a marathon. I hope tomorrow I feel better because I really enjoyed today's walk and wanted to go for another one.
 

Everytime I wear this skirt I remember what a deal I got for it, 500yens because it had a few little stains that I could clean without a problem, plus it's so versatile!
Also, if you take a look, I took a chance (again) with that fancy nail art that I could never get done; I won't say I succeeded on it looking great, but it looks quite decent, don't you think?
