This would be my Xmas post (not feeling it).

Nochebuena

03

I hope everyone had a great night and Christmas day, let me tell you mine were pretty normal, we ate Lasagna my husband cooked, we watched Mononoke Hime that was on TV, and later opened the presents since Luc didn't want to wait until today.
This month wasn't good regarding money, well, it never is since Luc's birthday is on December 8th, so we didn't bought many things.

I actually didn't expect to get anything at all, but I got 2 things I would've never expected nor actually wanted for Christmas; and iron (because the one we had broke last week) and and electric screwdriver with lots of different points (I think this one was a very Homer Simpson inspired gift, don't you think? Hahahaha!)

And you, what did you get, did you get anything at all? Tell me and let me envy you!

Never Enough

Christmas brought us many sweet treats.
For me, delicious chocolates and cookies are the perfect gift
to put under the tree.

Chocolate chip cookies, turrón wafer sticks and chocolates!
Everything so delicious!

The best thing about these cookies are the cans,
some of the windows are real and inside there's a hole to put a little candle.
When lit, the cans look like little houses with life inside!

Yummy wafer sticks filled with turrón and chocolate.

Christmas Day

We had a quiet Christmas Eve at home,
the three of us together.
We ate gnocchi cooked by me as a gift to my husband.
We are a very Italian family! xDD

It took me two hours to make these..,
I ended up so tired and with flour everywhere! xDD

My husband made his super special spicy sauce for him and our son.
Me not like.. xP

And mine only with cheeeeeese!

I didn't dress-up, so you don't get a photo of me,
but here I come with some x-mas tree and gifts!

These were taken after my son went to bed at midnight

Unwrapping his presents; Cars, Hotwheels, Afro-Kens!!

Chucho got a present as well..!

Assembling his Hotwheels Car Wash.

And here you have me at 7.30 in the morning after unwrapping gifts,
just about to go back to bed.., or couch in this case.. xDD

Merry Christmas

Fernando Silva is the children’s hospital director, in Managua.
On Christmas Eve, he worked late at night. The fireworks were starting to light the sky when Fernando decided to leave. At his house they were waiting for him to celebrate.
He did the last round to see if everything was in order, when he heard footsteps following him. Cotton-like footsteps: He turned around and found one of the ill little kids who was behind him. Fernando recognized his face marked by death and those eyes asking for apologies or maybe permission.
Fernando got close and the boy brushed him with his little hand:
- Tell… -the kid whispered-. Tell someone I’m here.
