Dublin on Tuesday, November 15th 2011

On Tuesday we woke up early in the morning to have breakfast at the hotel; we had a full Irish breakfast minus the baked beans (ugh!), but to be honest I couldn't eat the bacon, and it was funny watching Luc trying to eat the fried egg (he hates eggs, probably the only food he hates).
After breakfast we headed straight for the Guinness Storehouse, which I had already bought the tickets for. I hate beer (you can see my "Beer face" in one of the potos), but my husband is like the ultimate Guinness fan, he refers to it as "Irish Water", hehe!

We had a really fun time there, and after that we went back to the hotel whereabouts were all the shops were located, we bought a few things, but we spent the whole evening buying since my husband is very VERY thorough when shopping abroad.
And even if we didn't visit any other touristic place, what we enjoy the most is getting lost in the city and find lovely and curious spots.

After leaving what we bought at the hotel, we head back to Temple Bar so we could find a place to eat, and since Luc wanted Pizza, we went for Italian. There are MANY Italian restaurants there, and I don't know the others, but the one we choose, Botticelli, has real Italian food, cooked and served by Italians. The food was delicious, and the service was great, so if you ever go to Dublin and are tired of stew and fish n' chips, go there, you won't regret it! Plus they have delicious home-made ice-creams. (OHHHH, I how I missed home-made ice-creams! I haven't had any since I left Argentina.)

I know I said I was going to post about the trip, but I dressed up and took photos, hahahaha! Plus I've been busy posting on some of your blogs, and I still have a long way to go on that matter.

Yesterday it was quite cold, so I searched for my wool tights and put on my polka-hearts skirt; I really wanted Round 2 with it since I clearly can't wear it on summer due to its length. So I'm planning thousand looks with it for colder days!

And here is one with Luc, I love the photo, but I hate how I don't have the skills to kill those white hairs in my fringe with photoshop. My age really shows in this one, right? Hehe... ¬¬

After I came back from Dublin I've been sick in bed, I don't usually have fever, but this time I did, that's why I didn't feel like posting about the trip and I couldn't visit all your blogs. But yesterday I was totally recovered so my son and I went for a walk to get some films from the library for this weekend. My son picked "To Kill a Mockingbird", which he loves and I choose "The Teahouse of the August Moon", because my husband and I are big Marlon Brando fans and the film it's so funny!!

What I wore I had already worn it a week ago, when we were coming back from Dublin, but I didn't get a proper shot of the outfit, and it irked me so much that I had to recreate it. I love the colours, it's so autumnal but cheerful at the same time thanks to the red details!

I'll be posting about Dublin in the next days, and probably recreating some more outfits that didn't get the credit they deserved! xDDD And also visiting and commenting on your blogs!

Dublin on Monday, November 14th 2011

In one of my last posts I wrote I was going on vacations for a few days, well, last Monday I went with my son and my husband to Dublin, Ireland. The truth is that the plan was Athens, Greece, but with al the chaos going on there we thought it was better to wait, and choose another destiny. The options were Bruges, Belgium; Amsterdam, Netherlands & finally Dublin, Ireland. I preferred Amsterdam or Bruges, but Dublin's flights were cheaper on such short notice.

Our flight was delayed and hour, so when we arrived at Dublin we had only an hour of daylight, since at 5pm. it's night already. We went sightseeing the hotel whereabouts and then to Temple Bar, the place were most pubs are located.
We wanted to have dinner early because we were really tired, 'cause we knew the kitchens there close at 10pm and because Luc couldn't be at pubs after 9pm.
We found a nice place, but quite pricey (but then again, everything is double priced at Temple Bar) called Quay Restaurant, and we ordered, two burgers and a lamb stew. I never in my life ate stew, now I want to eat it every day this winter, hahahahha!

When we were heading back to our hotel, I found a Forever 21, a Primark & a H&M. At Forever 21 I didn't like anything, really, people who always buy there have amazing stuff, but I didn't find anything nice, and it happened the same at H&M. At Primark I bought some accessories and socks. I wanted to buy so many color block dresses, but I didn't buy any of them since my husband & son had already bought too much and we hadn't much space in our suitcases. I only bought a pair of boots, because both pair of shoes I took there hurt my feet really bad and with the rain I had my socks wet the whole time!

I don't really have much photos of the first day since we did almost nothing, but this was the only day I got proper photos of my outfits. I really wanted to make outfit shots, but my husband is not fond of them and doesn't have the patience to do it DD:
